Still get "APPS sensor volts too Low" when i turn it on, check and rechecked connections, all it takes is a small tap of the pedal so the apps volts come up and its good to go.

Set the fueling to 90% and rev limiter to 4k to test it (and the valve springs) out. its very odd, for the first 5-6 miles of my drive I thought the box wasn't working because every time I tried to get on it I didn't feel any special wild addition of power so I let off, pulled over and checked the connections.

Finally I realized that I was so used to the smarty's remapped APPS sensor that I wasn't truly putting it to the floor and that solved everything. The truck woke up and I found out what 4k of power is like...and darn near soiled myself when the tires let loose and kicked me sideways in 4th gear.

Obviously this is not a very street friendly box, but I will tell you this, when you can open it up on a long desolate stretch of highway...its wild! It doesn't feel as if it will make the same peak power as the TST, but extending that full power to 4k makes all the difference.

Oh ok. I had a guy sell one that always did that. It finally quit displaying that when he replaced his APPS

i have a new APPS sitting at home...might throw it on tonight and see what happens

Not all ways but if u raise the voltage a little that wont appear , like try .75 or a little above factory sets on the back of the apps

you can adjust the APPS volts by turning the torx screw on the front of the APPS unit--it will adjust your idle a hair also--if you go to far it will give you a dead pedal also(so carry the torx with you)---there's a way to read the volts on the REDLINE while adjusting it---I wish I remember how exactly, but I think it involved pushing two buttons at the same time to get into calibration mode--I took mine off cuz it needs to be fixed(never worked) or I go and monkey with it and let you know how to do it, anyway if you call Chip at Blue Chip he may tell you how to do it---or maybe have partimepuller call for you since it was his first---chris

Are you running it with Smarty?

yea, smarty is there for all the time every day driving. when you turn the redline on, and start to give it throttle thats when the redline takes over and ignores the ecm and everything else and controls the pump/engine on its own.

the redline also sets a code and CEL because of the way it acts when it takes over. did anyone ever read the codes to find out what code you got with the redline.

just wanted to add that Chip Fisher at Bluechip is one hell of a nice guy. after my screw up a few weeks ago he fixed my box for free, then i just called him with some questions and he had no problem chatting on the phone about some of the things i was curious about.

I've heard nothing, but good things about Chip.

he is a great guy, and i think the codes are p0254 and p0255 having to do with injection pump stuff.. it happens every time.

i got 253...chip said its normal...i was worried because when my first vp44 died like 2 years ago thats the only code i got. something happened with my drag comp and fried the computer in the pump and thats the code i got...so i was worried it was going bad again LOL

well i was close it 0253 and 0254 , i know that 2 always showed up on mine hope i relaxed ya a lil

I've got my redline at chip's getting reprogrammed as I type. I got the same thing you did, APPS voltage too low. I checked the output voltage at the apps and compared it to the diagnostic screen on the redline. They were very different for some reason; the redline read very low and would not fuel very hard. Chip says he has a fix for it, have you talked with hime about an update, it may take the low voltage screen away?
andy

I just had mine in there last week to fix it from my screw up on my first attempt to install it. I replaced my APPS and the problem went away.

How do you get to the diagnostics screen?
