I just picked up a Power Puck & I'm gonna give it a try before I sell it. I remember a few guys talking highly about that stack back in the day. Anyone still running that stack? Any feedback about it?

Which power puck do you have? Is it the one that plugs right into the plug at the pump, or does it use the data link connector? The one that worked really well was the older one that plugged into the VP44.

That along with the VA box that plugged into the back! Damn it I wish I wouldn't have gotten rid of that box!!!

I think it plugs into pump only.

The puck does timing only correct? I noticed that my truck runs best when I let the Redline do all of the fueling & only use sw1 timing on Smarty.

:rockwoot: keep us posted i always wondered what would happen with that thing

Yep, that's the good one. Not to say the other one is bad, it's just that the one you got works better in a stack with the Redline. That stack makes really good power on most trucks, though I don't remember how it did at high rpms.

Thats good to hear. I never knew there were 2 different models out. Guess I lucked out. I've been doing different tests using different settings on my ADR/redline, Smarty/Redline to find the best combo for pulling. I tried timing only on ADR set at 10* & the truck felt strongest last night running that setting.

I don't think I can go any higher than the 10* because I tried Smarty timing 4 with ADR timing 10* & my truck revved out great. Only problem was that when I let out of it, the truck sounded like a CR when you let off the fuel. It kinda stayed revved for a minute, then slowly returned back to idle. Scared the sharts out of me for a minute.:hehe:

The pucks that plug to the VP are for 98.5-00 ones with map are for 01-02 from what I was told, I tried both I think the older ones work better with that stack

How did you try both if they are vehicle year dependant? Adapter harness?

Doesnt matter with the older style pump plug , I tried that first , sold it and found the later one for my year (map style), I even used the old VA that plugged to the pump no change for me , I didnt stack these together just one at a time with the RL . They say a older comp box like a 98/00 wont run on a 01 cause of the map voltage but a 99 comp box ran the best on my 01 ,,electrics are good but can b mind boggling .. From our latest testing a smarty on sw3 with a RL is very very good only usesn 75% of the RL

This is the setup i am currently running!

Rods any dyno numbers with the smarty stack?

or pulling results?

Well he did gain 75hp from the smarty on the dyno ( 2 weeks ago), this week I installed one of my turbos and injectors that I run and went to danville and placed 5th out of 26 of the top 2.6 trucks in KY he put 6ft on me , its holding 4k down the trac Im very impressed with it , we pulled 2night and he got the driveshaft about 25ft out I got an axle , heck half the field broke,, anyways thats about it I dont think we can get anymore out of it far as RPMS go heck it makes over 50lbs with just the smarty on level 4 no RL..
