What all's needed to calculate mph ?
RPM was 3710 when I let out
Tire diameter is 31.6"
rear gear is 3:73
Isn't something else needed ?

a gps, they record max speed in a resetable section........ no margin of error due to worn tires, over inflated tires....... rounding off. kojac with a kodak will tell you pretty accurately too !

well maybe i can help I got 135.5 mph if you have a 48re which has a .69 OD gear.

come on richard i know that truck will rev out to 4K thats where your supposed to let out of it

I'm surprised he got to 3710. 3600 is typically the defuel rpm. But being an 03 ECM might be slightly different

A sharp curve with a set of railroad tracks made me change my mind about staying in it. LOL

Jason...the 3710 was off the recall on my MPD.

Oh BTW...1240 max EGT's....nice!

I just use CompD's calculator...makes it fairly easy for my small brain..though a spot for the OD ratio would be awesome.

Did a run ONCE to 3750 with 32" tires, auto and 3.54's......like I said once and it was still pulling hard.

funny...I'm trying to build my truck to do that REPEATEDLY and for sustained periods of time. :Cheer: The safety stuff is pretty expensive. So we'll see how that goes. :bang

I've done it once too, all while getting my a** handed to me by a blown Z06. I just kept telling myself, E rated Michelins please stay together, please stay together!

What kind of "closed course" has railroad tracks!?!LOL

135-136mph according to most of the calculators using:

tire diameter 31.6"
rear gear ratio 3.73
trans gear ratio 1:0.69
rpm 3710
