I know this is kind of off topic for compd, but does anyone have a remote start on a 12v that allows time for the grid heater cycle?

Yelp, I have one on the 96. Now just to wire it to disengage the clutch safety switch for my NV5600. :rockwoot:

So does everyone have the Viper 5901? lol

For the grid heater delay, was it a set time, or did it actually wait for the grid to cycle off?

You have your choice when you set up the system. Mine is set up to wait till the light goes out.

On a 12v right? Was the wiring real complicated? How long does it crank before it gives up? How many times will it try to crank it?

Yes,12v Unless you are good a wiring and schematics have a installer do it, You can set how long it cranks, I think it tries 3x to start. Then it gives up.

I do have it plugged in when its cold so that it can remote start. Otherwise you would need to "preset" something on the pedal so that it has some extra fuel to get mine started. With it plugged in below 30 it always starts.
