removeing vent cover?

ok i am replaceing my vp44 and you have to remove the front vent cover how does that come off? does it pop off or what?

it is kindof threaded on there should just back out counterclockwise. should be able to do it with your hands or maybe stick an end of a wratchet in the whole and help break it loose
