Is there a complete Trans Cooler setup that I can replace the factory one with. I have seen these secondary ones that guys are mounting under the bed. But how about removing the cooler altogether to replace with a aftermarket one. I need a new cooler and rubber lines on my 98 auto 24v cummins. It was in a wreck and the previous owner scabbed everything together and it just started leaking again. It is strictly used for towing. Can I fine one that mounts under the bed, or should I try to find the factory one in a junkyard.

I would say stick with one going to the front of the truck so your line pressure stays somewhat the same. If you shorten your lines you may increase your line pressure.

:what: I have talked trannies with Dave G for hundreds of hours and he has NEVER once mentioned raising line pressure by removing stock coolers and lines.

Check out the Derale coolers. BH10 just ordered one cheap somewhere and maybe he can give you insight. Ive run one before and had no issues with removing all of the factory coolers and lines.

Ill look into the Derale coolers. Any other suggestions.
Were could I pickup the rubber mounts that the radiator and intercooler sit on? Besides junkyard....

I was talking to a guy in the area that has a hopped up 12v and he kept having problems, blowing out the pump seal or something but im not sure. It was strictly a drag truck so he just had a small line completeing the flow circut. It was too short and the line pressure jumped causing a problem. If I remember right all he did was make the line a few feet longer and that lowered his line pressure and solved his problem.
