What is the best way to get the paint off so i can repaint it black??

Aircraft paint remover. Just dont get any of it on your skin hah

x2 on aircraft stripper dont get it on your skin burns like you woudnt believe

i used sand paper and scotch brite. it smooths out all the casting flash

I used some clean strip paint remover from walmart. Will eat through anything i believe including your skin as said earlier.
