What's the CompD consensus on this:

Reuse existing tappets or swap in new tappets when installing a performance (or stock replacement) cam?

Re-use stock tappets! Save your money. I know plenty of folk who re-use stock tappets with billet cams and ZERO issues.

Reuse them, I have never seen any really wear bad unless there was an another issue affecting them.

Any machine shop can resurface the lifters for very cheap. If any doubt exists I would go that route.

This is more or less a thought & discussion thread, but for my case, a street driven truck that sees ~5-7k miles per year.

In the gasser world, I see many cases where the cam and lifters come as a set, or a new lifter set is highly recommended.

- There are a few companies out there that make roller-lifter kits, correct? That seems cool (although the prices are big$$$)
