replacing vp pump

Hey guys, i am helping a buddy out and iv narrowed it down to the injection pump is shot. Iv never changed the injections pump on a 24 valve, just the 12valve. Any tricks or tips i should be on the look out for. How different is the process on changing the pumps? Thanks everybody

Its really simple. Remove line bundle, remove apps,breather for block,nut from gear. Line key up at 12 o clock unhook fuel lines and electrical connector. 4 nuts on the back of pump. I used a common steering wheel puller to get the gear loose and pull it out. Make damn sure you use the key that comes with the pump you are putting on. Put it all back together. I bumped my starter to fill the pump with fuel. Crack a couple injector lines and bleed them. Then let her rip. I idled mine at 1200 for a few minutes and thats it.
