So, I just got my receiver built yesterday to fit my roll pan, and I'm wondering what i should do to attach chains? I was thinking of welding a square u-bolt to the receiver and have it hang down just below the roll pan so it'll still be somewhat hidden. My mad Paint skills show this in yellow... Other than that, I don't suppose it'll be a good idea to put it under the receiver tube behind the license plate? Either way, it won't be the most optimal placement, but just having some point of attachment seems better than none.
Also, has anyone ever been stopped while towing with this type of setup? I figure, if I'm towing a trailer my license plate isn't visible anyways. Not that I'm going to change the receiver, as it's welded in and not coming out (bolted to frame, but it will not come out without cutting) just wondering.
