Well im to the point now to where im wanting to go ahead and build my motor up a lil more than bolt ons. I have a complete 01 24v and a complete 99 24v. The head is cracked in many places on the 01 which is why i bought the 99. The head looks perfect on the 99 but i havent had it magnafluxed yet so i dont know whether is actually good or not. My main questions are about flycutting my pistons and which ones are better and is there anything i special to do to my rods other than weight balancing? Im going to have my crank balanced as well but im not sure what i need it balanced to/for. Any help on this would be appreciated.

One of the bigger things you can do in addition to what you have mentioned is find a machine shop that has a torque plate for these blocks and have everything line bored with it in place. Cylinders, cam and crank should all be done. It will make a difference.
