So I hear there is a Duramax mod class pulling truck being built as we speak. Anyone know anything about it?

What else are you all hearing about what's going down in the off season?

Just bored.

there was something about 4 mechanical d-maxes being built and that schied is building an 06 model 2.8 truck for there own use. dave mitchell's mod truck is yet to reappear after being sold last year and there is supposed to be a couple more big power 2.8 trucks in our area also smokeshow. idk i'm sure i'll remember more. lol

I had heard there was going to be a mod d-max at Scheids last year but it was obviously a rumor. It was said to be from the Northeast somewhere.

I seen Dave's truck at EEP early this year. Are you sure?

Chris Watson made a comment in a post a while back about a Mod Class dmax project but haven't heard anything lately. Kyle "crank it up diesel" may have to move up with the rule changes to unlimited single and no twins.

in some aspects i dont see why more trucks aint running in the mod class......rolling blower gas 4x4 tube frames are pretty easy to find and they are pretty cheap considering what it costs to buy a running/driving street truck and turn it into a puller, and the parts are way stronger built than the modified factory stuff they have to use in the lower classes, and most of the stuff they are using in the mod class is cheaper than the highly modified and built factory parts they are using in the lower classes.......

i head Jeremy Flax was supposed to build a p-pumped Dmax or something like that, i cant remember, some diesel place post from a long time ago i read, i would like too see a Dmax as a full time contender in the Mod class, it would probably be pretty similar to Ben's motor though, just highly modified block and heads and everything else custom built....i wonder if anyone would have balls enough to try and run CP3(s) in the mod class, probably take atleast 3 of them.......id even go for a 8 cylinder sigma pump.....

I'd say Kyle Michaels has something up his sleeve...last time I talked to Chris Watson he wasnt sure when theyd have a truck out but you know itll be something worth watching. Kent Crowder and Brad Ingram are supposed to be going to tube chassis so thatll be good. Erik Stacey will come up with something I'm sure and you can not forget Cory Atley is building a new mod truck also! Should be an interesting year!

I here Danville performance has a new duramax they are fixin up but it woun't be in mod class anybody know anything about it?

yea he pulled after he got it fixed, at tollesboro and some other places i'm sure, but for some reason his truck had a problem with bouncing after they fixed it, hope they got it worked out

I don't think Kyle Michael is gonna be in the mod class, I heard from a very reliable source that he is dropping down a class.

i hope he gets it worked out, it always sucks when you break something and then you get an inherent problem and you got to chase down all the same stuff you did before.....

ok for the mod class and im talking strictly mods not a bad 2.8 truck or superstreet thats saying its gonna be a mod. Flax no, Michaels no, Watson Yes! And theres a guy up north of ohio building a tube frame thats suppose to be pullin this yr. but dont know his name. Staceys frame is fine and better then ever kept him down for a hole 3 days i think! and for the bouncing a minor problem that is fixed and he'll be strong in 08.

What about the Boogie Max? I haven't kept up with it much, but from his performance at Terre Huate (other than it breaking) I would say mount some Dick Cepecks on it and join in on the mod class. But then again I could be wrong.

Hey Chris, is the Big Bad Diesel Modified truck the old Still Smokin truck, or is it another truck built just like it? I know I am probably going to get a big fat DUHHHH on that one, but I haven't been keeping up with other classes and pullers in a while.

The Boogie Max could'nt even come close to the super streets in the midwest this past season, and he ran after the 3.0" single charger class at Terre Haute. And yes Scott Vorhees bought Still Smokin and renamed it BigBadDiesel.
