Rusted Injectors

Nothing new today. We took top end apart, and sent the heads to the machine shop. Machine shop is backed up a couple of jobs, They said they should know something on Saturday.
 
Hey Rich, who did that super install on those injectors?

It's so long ago Doug I honestly don't remember. It might have been DJ or it could have been me. I'm old....the memory ain't what it used to be.

Man that was a long time ago...note the F8 on the injector body....that's the 8th injector of the 6th set Tadd ever built.

Did it run like that and if it did what were the symptoms? Gotta see what mine look like this weekend if the slave driver lets up on me. Oh yeah, did it damage the injectors? Thanks.

Thanks Nate, gimme a call tomorrow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but given my luck till this point, who knows. If anyone has a line on a set of stock heads some has lying around/selling let me know, as long as they guarantee they pass a pressure test.

Send me some pics, how did the bottom of the valves look and the pistons.

And here are a few pictures that we took during the pressure test on saturday morning. We found a that the passengers side head is cracked in the #5 cylinder...





 
Anyone have suggestions on what I can do to prevent this from happening again? I wasn't exactly hard on the truck and it's stock. Is it a design flaw? Has it been remedied with the Job2 heads?
 
Well, I just got off of the phone with the local International Dealer, and Ford has Fuked us again!!!

The Part number for the cylinder head is 5010402R91... BUT, it is captive to Ford.

Anyone have any suggestions?

For reference, the oil cooler has changed part numbers and gone up also.
the new part number is 1840756C96.

A conversation with the local ford dealer would go a long way. Ask him for a cylinder head for a 2007 f-250. It will have the adapter dowels in the kit. But remember that the 05 stock head on the other side will require the gasket for that dowel size. Then he can look for the supercede in the parts numbering system.
