Took some measurements of a stock piston out of a 99 Dodge and measurements of a RV275 (Part#3800326)
Only difference I see is the placement of the rings

Both have the same bowl dimensions and CC's

Why would the RV275 piston be a better choice?

(RV275 pictured is a 3802995 as the 0326 pistons are at the machine shop)

Niiiiiiice steel insert for the compression rings... I like it.

Just noticed this out of that thread

They are squeeze cast and use a fibre reinforced material for added stability. Suppose to be a better material. They come from cummins with a ceramic coating on the top and in the bowl as well
.

RV's are all dual ni, dual keystone, gravity cast & anodized even at 275 hp

250-275 hp ag, ind, marine, ect are the dual ni, dual keystone, squeezed cast, fiber reinforced pistons.

Anodized, and dual ni/keystone is the benefit over a dodge piston.

Where was this information obtained from?

^^^^^^^^ this is a feature I liked on them.
For a stronger piston and not breaking the bank or going forged & my peace of mind. (since ive broken ringlands on stock & Mahle replacements) The only other pistons I would run as a daily driver above these are Monotherms but are $$$$$$$

I have a brand new set of .040" over 24v RV275's that are cut for .040" valve reliefs and machined bowl lip & radiused top edge.
They are ceramic coated tops & skirts. Also weight balanced set. If someone is reading this & looking just haven't got around to posting in for sale section.
