not asking about the race cover, just what htt, bd, and ii ship em with std

why do some have different dia at the v-band clamp?

not asking about the turbine housing, but the compressor (2nd gen style turbos)

i have 3 turbos here, one from ea manuf 62 64 66 - and for some reason the comp housing from bd (the 64) is smaller (a lot smaller) at the v-band connection

smaller than the 62 from htt

why?
 
On the outlet to the intercooler boot? I've read it is to help with surge.

bought the turbo used but someone somewhere paid good money for this thing 64/71 - i woulda been pissed if it were me

a 64/71 is a performance charger (to me) and i just cant see why bd would ship it like this

the id of the stock elbow is 3/8" larger than the turbo outlet

ps - it says schwitzer on it just like the 62 from htt

ps - if it does not affect flow than what good is spending $275 on a race cover?

saw somewhere where they claim additional 75 hp worth of air w race cover

just curious - not interested in buying one
