S300 Exhaust Flange

I am getting the parts together to rebuild my current twins to a s360 over a 3b. Sourceauto has an hx40 flange (v-band) but it says it will work with an s300 if the s300 is machined to fit the hx40 flange. Does anyone know what gets machined and how to tell if its already done?

if it's for a 2nd gen, it'll most likely have an HX40 flange... if it's for a 3rd gen, it'll most likely have a 3rd gen flange
