I was curious if anyone knew of a company making true 2.6 compressor housings for the s400

well most events wont let you bushing down a housing to 2.6. so i was wondering if there were any s4 housings out there that the inducer was 2.6

Read the rules for scheid, doesn't say the reducer has to be welded or can't be removable. Here come the 80mm bushed chargers!

I love it when people say that...Do you know how bad the wheel cavitates when that much of the wheel is covered up?

How much? Do you have a wheel that shows the cavitation marks? Dyno results to show that a 75mm wheel bushed to 2.6 makes more HP than an 80mm bushed? Or even 72mm bushed to 2.6? 80mm bushed chargers have been putting the hurt to 2.6 contoured wheels.

There was person who told me his 2.6ish contoured wheel flows almost as much as an 3.1 wheel non bushed wheel.

Glenn if you have the data to support what your backing up, then I apologize up front. I am just skeptical, cause lately guys seem to be adding up CFM from the native wheel, throwing a race cover on it, and says poof, it will flow what the original wheel did.

If that was the case, I would think whatever truck that charger was on would stick out like a sore thumb.

I do what? LOL.

It would be interesting to see the results. I have seen the bushing chargers make more HP than the same bore non bushed. Do you have flow sheets for the turbos with and without bushings?

Can you elaborate on that statement?

Your saying a 2.6 contoured wheel will flow nearly what an 3.1 wheel will?
Lets say given the same exducer.

Dan, what is your hidden agenda? Maybe you should do some independent flow testing of your own.

My question is how do you have a 2.6 charger that you say is 110lb/min, and then say there is no way an 80mm will keep up with it. The 80 is 120lb/min.
Those are pretty close. Is asking for data to back up your claim a hidden agenda? Do you see the contradiction in what your saying?

On one hand you say there is no way a 2.6 contoured wheel charger will keep up with an 80mm, and yet you say your 2.6 contoured wheel will flow within 10% of the 80mm.

No you did. :what:

Where did i say a contoured wheel 2.6 charger will keep up with an 80mm?
Say what you want behind our backs Dan, we have flow sheets, do you?
