After rebuilding my nv4500 and adding the 1 3/8 input shaft, I bought a sb dd 750hp clutch. Put it all back together went to start it and it would turn over half a turn and stop. I decided on pull starting it. Fired up but sounded like the floater plate was catching the bell housing a lil like ther was a rough casting on it. It now fires up everytime but it has a click sound like the floater plate is still catching a lil? Idk what to think never had this problem b4

I would pull the starter and see if the flywheel is hitting on the starter casting. It happened to me. Also is this a twelve finger six finger four finger? Did you install a starter spacer or a crank spacer?

The starter spacer I had was half inch. I didn't use a spacer. I have it still if you want it. I have a starter from O Reilly auto parts and there was a high spot on the aluminum casting that was hitting the flywheel. I ground it down about an 1/8th inch and it took care of it.

It was ok with a single disk but the dual disk flywheel was just a little thicker and was touching.
