I was reading the article in DP about the upgrades they put on a 24V and saw that they used a 57mm compressor and what appeared to be a schwitzer based exhaust housing. What turbo platfor is that based on? I have one that looks like an S200 with a 57mm wheel n(don't know exhaust side numbers yet). It needs a rebuild and some work but it sounds like it would work well on my brothers 1st gen.

Is it worth the money to have it gone through?

Guru? LOL I actually have no clue about the S200s.

On Edit: After a little googling a few sources are saying 55 lbs/minute flow rate. From what I can tell they are popular with the import tuner crowd.

And what do we need to flow on a 400hp 1st gen?

Scheid sells the S300G. Do you have any specs or pictures of the turbocharger you have, some of the S200 and S300 stuff overlaps.

I will get some pics this weekend with measurements. It's in a different part of the state at the moment. It may be a 300. I truely have no idea.

the tried and true 62/71/14

edit- didnt really read what you were asking, i dont know how much the 62/71 flows but it is def good for a 400 hp 1st gen.

I do know the turbo is off something like a perkins/cat 6.6l

Ignore that. Too much cowbell on the exhaust side for what you're doing if stopping at 400 horse.

... now if you have future aspirations of larger numbers, maybe.

I have what seems to be the same turbo you have. they have two diff s200 turbo a s256 or s258. i have a s258 that i plan on installing this weekend. all the info i have found on this turbo says it will support between 350 to 500 hp but this has all been on tuner sights. The turbo i have is of a 3126 cat on road truck engine. if you give me all the numbers off the turbo i can probably tell you what engine, factory power rating and even the cat part number

s256 had a 56mm compressor wheel and s258 have a 58mm wheel

I'm not sure what that means, too big of an exhaust wheel? On a VE it will work excellent for 400 hp, a 65 is too small. We are talking about a VE pump and not the evil P-pump right? Cmon Bill, back me up here.

Gonna have to back up and clarify.....

I have two turbochargers..... One from a KAL cat. I've got it handled.

The turbo in question is from a perkipillar 6.6l and I just don't have the serial number for it at the moment as its 150 miles from here. IT's a schwitzer but I can't tell what it is. 57mm inducer on the compressor and that's all I remember. i'll get pics this weekend.

The other C7 turbo looks and specs as a 300. 62/65 with a .080 housing (going by the casting on the housing) This is the first time someone has said it's a 200 frame though, in everything i've found online.

The 3126 a b e have a different style exhaust and compressor housing and ex housing than the C7 WAX and KAL

IMO, the 62/65 will probably work, but it will be toasty. Definitely do not go smaller.
