Just got done installing a lightning vp pump from scheid on a 2001 stock injectors, lines and crossover tube. Motor is being fed by a fass 150 pump. At idle the truck has white smoke not much but you can see it and smell it but the smoke goes away when the rpm's are raised. Is this normal for the pump?? I have no air in the lines.

No! how long have you ran the truck? could have been some trash that got into one of the injectors, or could be a bad injector I reckon!

are you sure you lined the key up?

truck has idled maybe 5 minutes. yes the key is lined up and torqued correctly.

Both vp pump that have been replaced on my truck smoked a bit of white for the first say ten min of driving. Then fine after that

yeah, at least bring to operating temp before you think there is a problem!

Pulled the injectors and had them tested 5 out of the 6 was bad. Bought 6 new injectors and 6 new crossover tube. Recheck the pump and the truck still has white smoke at idle with a warm motor smells like unburnt fuel???

How big are the injectors, waht are the mods?

injectors are stock. No motor mods other than the hot-rod pump and a fass. What would happen if the injectors they gave me for my 235 hp motor was for a 245 hp motor?? I am running out of ideas.

The 245 injectors will make less power than your stock injectors because they have smaller holes.

When you bled the lines, did you "rap" on the throttle? I always do. Seems to help clear any air that might other wise be trapped in the lines.

i have found in the past that running stock injectors with the hot rod pumps makes the truck act weird. were the sticks you pulled out stock also?? ive always had better luck with the hot rod pumps running bigger than stock injectors. just a thought.

if you get some good injectors in there and it still smokes, just drive it a little while, maybe it's just burning the tester oil off or something
