scottys intake

i see they sell them for o3s and up.also understand the wrights were sold to a 2nd party.wonder if they will bring it back.they sound cool

they are3 sweet. I ma soooo pissed that I didn't buy one when they were made. I was young and dumb and thought they were stupid. I was going to be cool and I bought a really really good (not!!!) K&N cold air intake

I have a scotty II on my truck just because it came with the scotty on it. What's the advantage of a scotty over something like an afe?

well i like the way it uses the air in the same way the 70 ss chevelle does.to me its a good way to go about it.yes i know its not the total same way.but lots of air circulates in that spot.if you want my k&n ill trade you!

I let my Scotty II go with my first 97 I bought, and was fortunate enough to find another one when I acquired my current 97. It won't be going anywhere any time soon! They are AWESOME!

I had a TAG (turbo air guide) in my intake tube for a LONG time and removed it last weekn while driving my 97 home from Kino Fab's shop. WOW! That 64 screams with no slincer.:rockwoot:

Are the Scotty 3's available still?

i think they will come back into production.they already sell them for 03s and 04s.so if i harp on them everyday......just kidding

What kind of filter do you run in your Scotty II? I think that I probably ought to change it, since i havent since I bought the truck.

I bought an AEM (I think?) from PDR 2 yrs ago probably...haven't changed it since. A K&N RE-0880 works but I noticed a considerable drop in EGT's when I installed the AEM...like 100*...and the K&N wasn't clogged up.

I know towards the end before they were discontinued they starte putting UNI filters in them.

I'm pretty sure that that's the filter the guy I bought the truck from said he ran in it. I'm not a big fan of oiled filters though. Could you put a dry filter in a scotty? Something like a GREEN filter?
