SCT questions

I posted this on TDS without any replies so I thought I would ask here also!

So all this SCT stuff has me wondering how it works. I'm used to plug-in modules and Smarty for Dodges, but not any of the SCT stuff. Can anyone share how the programming works, is it a 'load and forget' like the Smarty? What is built in for timing, duration pressure, boost fooling, etc?

Nick, why don't you call or email a dealer for the these tuners and ask them. Especially, those that are diesel techs and completely understand their product. The SCT (mine, '06 FORD PSD) came from DJ Diesel Performance and was custom tuned by him. The SCT Xcal2 changes several parameters when it reconfigures the computer such as EGR, transmission pressure, etc.
Finally, for the SCT product, these guys can change multliple engine functions based on what you want your truck to do or perform.

Yes, it is a load and forget. The difference is that all the parameters can be changed. We start with the stock file and the possibilities are endless.
