im trying to get my setup perfect as can be i pull stock appearing turbo class
IIhrvp
quad boost fooler
100s
sbc dd 3850
stock lines and tubes still have filters in them
grid heater delete and byrds diesel intake horn
420hp 870tq
no fueling box yet but considering gettin a redline later in summner i will be goin to a s366
ive been doing some thinking on what gearing i pull in the first pull i didnt mess with tire pressure had 65psi front and rear i was told next to do 20psi front and 40psi rear no hanging weight traction bars or blocks truck wieghs 6980lbs i have a ranch hand out front hitch height is 25inch
heres a rundown
6speed 4.10s 420hp 285/75/16 procomp xtreme mts 90% front tread 50% rear tread
4low 4th 16mph 2950rpms
im think about trying to different gears i might try 4hi 2nd next pull
4hi 2nd 19mph 2950rpms
4low 5th 24mph 2950rpms
any advice helps i got a couple completely stock duramaxs that run efi live i want to beat all season my sled speed at first pull was 15mph theirs was 18mph i lost by 2ft 5inch

Get tractions bars, ajustable suspension blocks if allowed, weight in bed so your full weight, drop fronts to 25 psi, front locker, and some electronincs to get your defueling moved up to 3200 rather than 2700.

rules say no traction bars or blocks you can put weight in the bed my truck doesnt defuel till 3300rpms since i have a hrvp and quad boost fooler i run 2950rpms down the track

ive heard not to run high side also but guys alot of guys do it i think if a can get a little more power i might try 5th 4low but thats a big jump from what i am using now my next pull i can make is the 4th and i think i will either have a cam or a redline by then so maybe one of those will help just curious about tire pressure with these procomp mts prolly try 20f 40r
