I'm currently on the quest of dropping the rear of my old pile. I want to get rid of the huge 6" block. I cut out the rear shackle hanger and flipped them. Put me around a 1.5" lift, but with no block got me azz down around 4-5". I want level or maybe a slight cali lean. My shackles are facing backwards around 35-40*. Pinion angle looks good to the case by eye.

On to my question. What's the optimal shackle angle for power transfer? I can drill new holes and get me in the "sweet" range. I really don't care about ride quality, I drive a single cab first gen I'm used to the bucking board.

I do have a WFO torque arm that I'll add once I get my ride height finalized.

Greater than 90* angle increases spring rate, less than 90* decreases it.
