She swallowed something =D

Those rockers are a common failure point in the B. Just a defective design

Back to the original concern for tear down, I had a common rail come in the shop running like you are describing and it ended up being the fca bad. Just my 2 cents
Okay. I'll check it. Thanks for that. Feeling a tad bit more confident now.

The 5.9s or the 6.7s?
I bought the 6.7 ones I saw because they're all metal.

The plugs, is it the ones IN the head or on the sides?

There's just a section of the head before it goes into the water jacket. Didn't measured but I'd say about 3/4-1" off the top of my head.

6.7 rockers better? I've got a box of those 5.9 rockers with the plastic and cap off can they be fixed repaired or just garbage?

To my understanding once the little tappets/caps on the rockers fall off they call for replacement. But I've heard many run em without the plastic pieces still attached. The main difference between the OE's that came on the 5.9 CRs and 6.7s is that the latter is all metal. No plastic.

There was NO cracks at all, one of the exhaust seats had a little chip in it, aside from that it all looked real well and was within specs.
I am having oversized seats put on the exhaust side and just having the intake cleaned up. Also, they'll be tapping the 11 holes in the valley and plugging them with tapered plugs. Also threading the front and rear freeze plugs.

Since I have nothing but time to wait I decided to have a little fun playing dress up...

What do ya'll think?

Got the Haisley rear freeze plug plate from PDP.
Noticed some play in the turbo last night and went ahead and ordered a rebuild kit from BAE, Bob there took real good care of me, nice guy.
Went ahead and ordered the FCA ahead of time.
Also a new CCV, the damn Oring was leaking.

Still waiting on the head tho :banghead:
