Well decided to take all the old dash out of my 3.0 truck and build a sheet metal one, anyone have any pics of building one or pointers? Thanks.

don't do a dash...save even more weight. Autometer and the other guage companys make tons of different guage pods that can fasten to just about anything (mount them right to the firewall just below the window) and then make up a custom little pod for you switches that could mount beside you in the seat on a 45 degree angle off the floor. Cheap, easy and no added weight. Its a puller right...don't need to look really pretty on the inside...as long as its practical.

ya its a 3.0 truck, so just a puller. I like the idea of no dash, but i like to look good to much to do that. LOL, i know its stupid but i need to make something, the jegs idea might accually be a good deal to start with. I like 2tones dash, that is what i want to do, something simple.

It's even easier/cheaper if you get a sheet of .040 aluminum from your local metal supplier and have them put a 60* bend in it. Hopefully I'll remember to post pictures of what I've got when I'm home tonight.

Here's the dash. The paper taped to the top is a 1:1 print from the aluminum gauge panel that's being cut out.

We're just going to keep the boost down to 100 to 110lb to try and save the block.
