so im running bell tech street performance shock P/N 10602F up front. the extended length is 13.25". right now will no load on the truck the shock is measuring 10", now the collapsed length is 9". so im i only getting 1" of compressed travel? The rear im running the 2212FF which has an ext length of 22.5 inches and collapsed length of 14" and again no load the shock is at 16". so I'm only getting 2" of travel in the rear?

sorry for the long post

That's not enough downward travel, I had the same problem in an old Dakota I had. Everytime I hit a bump I could feel the shock bottom out after a a nice pot hole broke the shock bolt I replaced them with shorter shocks.

gotcha, yeah these are shorter shocks that came with the lowering kit, but i dont think they were designed for the wieght of the engine. my problem is i cant seem to find a shock that is short enough or if i do i dont think its valved for my kinda of truck
