Ok, so the truck started up and ran fine Friday...but today...wont fire!

Im thinking I have a fuel leak in the system somewhere that no one can find ( ie no fuel dripping anywhere). Today Im going to try and replace the entire fuel system with my new A1000 and all new lines just to see what that does.

But I did have some sort of thought the other day. Fuel is getting to the DV's but not comming out of the lines at the head (dont know why) but is there a chance the the front cover on the P-pump that sits in the timing case is leaking? If one of the 4 torx head screws loose and causing fuel too seep into the oil pan??? Maybe that is causing a lose of pressure and a leak that no one can see.

But if those are loose would fuel even come through that or is it just an oil seal???

I assume you made double sure the solinoid pulled up the fuel shut off, its usually the simple things that get us. That bugger not adjusted just right wont always pull up and if pulled up it can release and fall down, ive seen it lately.

Well, my fuel shut off is completly off, just in case of run away or a need to shut the motor off in a hurry. So that has been set aside.

What realy gets me is that the pump ran just fine when taken off, nothing was touched on it, and now it doesnt work.

we had it started after the timing issue was taken care of. Idled just fine, but didnt want to do much more than let it idle because the entire front end was off (no coolent flow) but we shut it off, let it sit, and it started like a dream on its own.

Now 2 days later, it wont start...........To me it sounds like I has an air leak that is allowing the fuel to run all the way back to the tank and cause everything in the fuel system to loose prime.

Thats the main reason im trying to go out and replace every line on the fuel system with the braided stainless lines I have sitting in the Cab...just to take air leaks out of the equation!!!!

Ive never had the big bleed issue lots seem to have. I can pull my lines, replace DV's or injectors whatever, reinstall the line set and tighten down everything and it cranks w/o hardly any issue with throttle input. What im saying it it cranks quickly and the lines never need bleeding at the injector like ive seen on many tractors and such. My thinking is its due to having a elect. pump in line with the system, no need for engine cranking for the pump to recieve its fuel. So ya maybe check for leaks on the rt side as well.

Get it running on ether

Thats about the only thing that will make it run! I dont want to run cans and cans through it just to get it to sputter.

Ive started on the A100, but due to rain, couldnt finish it. If I cant get it running by the weekend, its going up on a trailer and heading to a shop. I HATE to do it, but Ive run out of ideas or things to check. I did 99% of the work already and would hate to send it somewhere else to get the last 1% done, but thats what it is comming down to!!!
