Tomorow i have the opertunity to dyno my truck (for free) for the first time sense i've owned it. I know i have over 100 extra hp at the crank (see signature). However I am still running with a completely stock transmission:bang My question here is wether or not my trans can handel it, please note that this is my daily driver and i will be moving 300 miles away in exactly one week so i need the truck up and running for that as well, also i was just married so funds are still a little scarce for extra truck parts. with all that being said with what i have now the trans has only been slipping in first gear when i really mash the skinny pedal, if i roll into it it holds just fine, and if my being really gental it kinda has a delaid shift into OD. Please all i am looking for is "Yes" or "No" answers, i know its all up to me in teh end, what i really want you guys to do is tell me what you would do if it were your truck.

:thankyou2:TIA:thankyou2:
Chris

No, given the circumstances and the fact you've already got slippage.

sum times there risks you just have to take, if tranny already headed south it could just go out on ur way to work or way home. i say do it! if tranny goes order a goerend and problem solved, she'll understand u just got hitched in she still happy so better do it before you get some years behind ya cause she wont let you live it down

If it was me I would, for you no. I'm known to make poor decisions when it comes to dynoing. Broke mine twice on the dyno.

Thanks for all teh quick input guys.
i have decided to forgo the dyno for now and finish saving up for trans parts, at this point i was going with dunrite because georend is a little far away for us coasties:bow:.

Thanks again

Chris
