silencer ring stuck

well today after i changed oil in the ol dodge i thought i might take the silencer ring out of the turbo, but when i went to try and pick it out with a pick i could not budge it, not a bit, i tryed and tryed but no luck, has anyone else had this problem? i dont want to get to violent with it beacuse then i start breaking thigs and a turbo is something i would rather not break, thanks!

They've always fallen out for me...after removing the snap-ring.

Two small, flat screw drivers (the free ones from snap on work well) is all I've ever used to pop the snap rings out of my poser buddies' trucks. LOL

Use a plasma cutter and cut the whole lip off. It will whistle like crazy.

Or maybe cut the turbo housing in half and pull it out

remove the snap ring..... it will make it a lot easier lol
