I bought a silver bullet at a dirt cheap price, and was curious to whether it would bolt up to the downpipe adaptor on an 03 auto or whether the one from the 04.5-up is needed?

You will need the 04.5 downpipe. BTW the install is much easier if you remove the manifold.

Not really sure. I just know that a downpipe adapter is needed for your application. I am sure II could give you more detailed info.

Roy you need the 600 series down pipe because the 555 is necked down to 3 inches. You can get the cast iron elbow at your local Dodge dealer for around 50.00 bucks new. The part # is 5161570-AA. Get yourself a manifold too.
