i have a 97 dodge with a industrial super phat shaft 66 and cant get my exhaust temps to cool down it has 435 injectors 4k springs zero cam plate laser cut dvs 4 to five exhaust i called industrial and they said i needed more fuel and rpm to get that charger in its efficeny range and 21 degrees of timing its at about 16 now

How much boost are you seeing? You could take the laser cuts out and go back to a 191 or 181 but youll probably lose a decent bit of power. When sled pulling you might as well just put a piece of tape over your pyro. My pyro is pegged shortly after I take off and it stays that way even for a second or two when I let off at the end.

I have a pyro but it is their just to fill a gauge hole, Forrest would it inject it sooner and later since no shoulder it would be both ways correct? I don't know.

Have scheid or columbus or whoever build you a pump for competition. Then when you get it, take a delivery valve out and see what you find.

I dont plan on running laser cuts in mine since its a daily driver, but I wont say that i wont ever try a set at least... Its hard to argue with a seat of the pants difference, and i know when we put Josh's in, it gained some power. Heck, with the PS71 he was running, it would almost clear them up, so that tells you that with enough charger you can use the extra fuel.

what injectors is Josh running?

He was running DDP4's with the PS71 he had. He has some 5x.18's now, but he never got to try them with the PS71.

I guess what I was getting at is I'd rather have as much injector as my pump could support with a real set of DV's than a smaller injector w/ ghetto DV's.

the less duration I can have at a given CC of fuel, the better

I think it just depends on the use of the truck. I dont think laser cuts are real streetable just for the fact that when you get on it hard, you are blacking out the highway behind you. I dont know how they are for fuel mileage, but I can still get 20mpg or better with my 191's if i keep my foot out of it. I do think you can make plenty of power without laser cuts too, just depends on how you want to go about it. Ill probably be keeping my 191's, but if i ever get it half way set up to pull some in the 2.5/2.6 class, i will probably try a set of lasers.

Exactly

if it wont bury the pyro you need more fuel. if its not street driven advance the timing 21 is a good start.

I haven't run less than 20 yet on the street...
