anyone see any reason why I cant mount my sled stops right to my hitch cross tube...its strong enough to pull the sled, it should stop it if I break something too right?

i'd rather not put 2 more holes in my roll pan, and my hitch sits below the pan anyway, so it would be easy to mount them right to the hitch rather than the frame of the truck

I put mine right on the 3x3 angle iron that I welded accross the top.

made them slide into my hitch, added a 3/8" bolt with a nut welded inside just to secure them once they are in there.

Why will that not work?

looks to me like it should... is it not legal?

i think that would work only thing that could happen is you rip you hitch out but you should be leaving the sled behind when you do that its a good idea

If that hitch is strong enough to pull the sled, i think its strong enough to take the hit and push the truck forward if it were to hit me.
