I did some searching and didnt really see anything I like. Let's see pics of your slep stops and what material you used. Hopefully I get some good ideas.

Thanks,
Mike

Want something easily removable? mine go on in under a minute with a single bolt just to hold them in place...will have to get pics tonight as my old photo site where i had the pics crashed.

That sounds good to me. I dont really want to keep them on all the time. Thanks, Mike

hitch receivers seems to work good for me with 2" square welded together shape like a T

Here are mine
I use 5/8" hitch pins for quick removal

I kinda like that set up. I'd still like to see what TJ has on his truck and whoever else has some different ideas. Thanks
Mike

I made these a few years back, solid 2" square stock slid into two recivers welded to the frame rails and secured with two grade 8 bolts on each side one through the stock hole in the reciver, and I drilled a second, just unbolt and they can be removed.

You need something heavy enough in case of something major failing

Mine arent gonna stand up to something like DISTURBED's accident where the sled went up under the truck, but I didn't design them for that. I designed them to just be enough that if i had to let out, or broke a driveline part and the sled were to hit the truck, it would be enough to push the truck forward rather than smash up the sheet metal. Some guys think its gotta be strong enough to "stop" a sled, but the way I see it is its just gotta be strong enough to push the truck ahead and keep the sled out of the sheetmetal.

Square tube slides into the side of the hitch, and is secured with one bolt to stop them from rattling out.

I think I'm gonna do something like that. ^^^^ After looking at them I think I will make mine adjustable to get them closer to the truck when there is no hitch in it. Just a little more protection since I have no rear bumper. If anyone else has any different ideas I'd like to see them. Thanks
Mike

I make 2 different kinds. One thats made to my reciever hitch and a set that slide into the openings of the factory hitch.
