slobber tube smoke

mines been smoking pretty good after romping on it.

time for a rebuild.... only 80,000 miles on it too, guess excessive boost will do that to ya.

How much smoke? A slight haze or puff is normal,at least on my 01 HO it is.Its been doing it since new.195k miles later I don't pay it any mind

Could it just be a head gasket starting to go creating crankcase preasure? Mine smokes a bit lol.

191k, 2000+ egt's, 40+psi, water/meth, mine hazes a bit but compression is 500psi on all cylinders so I ain't worried.

New cummins smoke out the crank case vent, old ones just smoke more. Powerstrokes and duramaxs just route back into their intake, but I'm sure they do it too. Its not a indication of your motors health unless its excessive.

I can see a haze after I stop it circulates in front of the truck a lil. 191k on it. Course, when I take it to disturbed he is going to do all the proper tests just to be sure. Better safe then sorry once all the new stuff is put on. Anyone ever do as they do on gas motors and weld a bung into the exhaust and make like a craankcase evac system? I know on them it helps promote better ring seal.

Do you remember the scottys system? It put the ccv tube in the intake. The exhaust setup would be interesting.I have vent tubes on my valve cover and ccv going under the truck.I baptize every place i park.

I've seen mine haze after a hard dyno pull.

I've also seen it haze when it is really cold outside.

Normally, no smoke or haze (visible at least). I did notice more smoke when it was cold when I was running 15/40, but that could also be my imagination.

Mine hazes a tad (enough to in the headlights when stopped) after a good run but doesnt use any oil or have any white smoke when idling. If you have any other symptoms, there might be a problem but I wouldnt worry about it for the most part.
