Smarty question please help!

i have a smarty s-06 i bought from a buddy. worked great on his 07. i have an 05 and have a terrible time getting it to connect to the ecm. it comes up "comm. time out". it used to connect after about the 20th try but now i cant get it to connect at all! i tried hooking up a battery charger while conecting didnt work. i tried unplugging my edge chip and pulling the fuse on my air dog. any thoughts???????

05 trucks can be a real pain. They seem to always act differently than all others. Beat bet is to pm Bob Wagner.

Check all the pins on the OBDII port. Might have one pushed back and not making full contact with the cable connector.

I had issues using my Smarty after installing a FASS lift pump, now I have to pull out all of my fuel pump fuses before reprogramming the ecm. I can change the adjustments with everything plugged in just can't reprogram.
