This is for the guys/gals that have experience with the smarty and edge stack...

I'm wondering if there is more of a power increase running the smarty timing vs running timing through the edge module - comp or EZ? Anyone have any input? I have run the smarty/TST stack (timing from smarty), and was pretty pleased with that, but I do not have any experience with a smarty/edge combo.

Thanks for the input.

i run the edge/smarty and love it. you can not change the timing on the edge so run the no timing settings on the smarty. my truck seems to like level 2 or 4 on the smarty and 5 on the edge drag comp. anything over level 4 just kills the power and smoke gets crazy.

Are you guys noticing substantial differences running the smarty with the comp?

Has decent power...Fuel really hard down low. Great for the street. Ive heard that the smarty bring HP down when stacked with the drag comp. I made 323 Smarty only, and 475 with smarty and drag comp. I havent been on the dyno enough to play with a lot of the settings.

Which smarty setting for best fuel economy? I have a drag comp also.

I've run mine on the strip and had to take the smarty off because it slowed me down, but I don't have injectors or anything like that yet. Around town I just run edge on 5/5 and smarty on 4 or 6 and it does just fine.

try running the smarty on 2 next time ur at the track

I tried it on all the non-timing settings and it didnt seem to help. The only thing that helped was taking it off.

I'd think you'd have plenty of timing with the drag comp, but for empty driving you could try a little extra timing and see what it sounds like. Turning the duration down or changing the torque management would brings less fuel in so there might be a way to tune for mileage there. I've played a bit with the revo software, but I've been gun shy since I lost an ecm =\
