Smashed a 241 case

I cracked a 241 DHD case in 4 places. now what? what is this 271 i keep hearing about, what did it originally come in? how do i get one, and what yoke does it marry with?:bang
 
do a 271 search there is plenty of disscussion on them about what is needed to put on in a 2 gen truck
 
getblown5.9 dd a good right up with pictures on his 271 swap...
 
I broke the front yoke off and bent the driveshaft. So a 271 swap may be the answer for me. thank god & JWP Fab for the loops earlier that day. Ive got 10 days to figure it out. *bdh*
 
i also have a 271 transfer case sitting in my old silver bullet. and the only thing that needs to be done to hook one up is change the yoke on the drive shaft. i was helping get blown swap his out
 
Still looking for 5.9's thread on the swap, but cannot find it. I thought it takes a longer front drive shaft and shorter rear. I was planning on calling Haisley tomorrow about a 1480 complete shaft anyways, but I may have to have them custom cut to fit a 271?:bang
