Didn't want to clog up performance areas with simple questions:

I have a guy looking to unload a 12v truck that smokes. It has 295k on the clock, and smokes good on start up and until operating temperature is reached. Diesel fuel is getting to the oil.

The truck is a 1995 2500, 5spd, 2wd

Would the injectors just be worn out? Or has something compromised the piston rings?

Thanks in advance,

Ray

Just broken in! Lol

Could be compression related or injector. Pull them and have them testes...do a leak down test.

yeah sounds like injectors to me. mine did that too but it was because i had injectors tht were way to big

actually sound like 2 separate issues. I'd almost bet on the timing slipped for your smoking issue. and fuel in the oil, couple be a few places. but cheap and easy is lift pump. unless the engine is dusted so bad the compression is gone. and fuel is just wet stacking, and dropping straight in the sump.
