These 2nd Gen trucks have an ECM cover on them?
If I hear right does anyone have a pic?

No argument...I heard there was a cover and was trying to source one. I could have heard the year model wrong though.

X2,3,4&5 Mine, coworker's, and two I have worked on, all the same.. No cover
just a silver box (that's known to periodically melt down) that's bolted to the driver side of motor with a multi pin connector bolted into it.

a quick search turned up a cummins ECM cover, but it is for the cummins ECM??? dunno.

Those screws on the sides indicate a cover to me.

Take it apart and let us know Travis, the ecm for my 24v is long gone so I wouldn't know for sure.

But I know you can't buy a cover through Cummins for them.

I may just do that. Bought it from some douche that said it was a working ECM. No workie.

I'm not sure how it would come off with the plug end on there, but the screws go all the way around.

I don't know either, that's why I said go for it, and atleast its not functional if things do break you aren't destroying a good ECM.

I can just imagine dude from Virginia that I bought it from.

Chrysler ECM's, Cummins included are usually packed full of reddish gell the sucks to dig through when trying to find a faulty solder joint. The being said, I can't say I've ever opened up a 24 valve ECM. Have a couple bad ones, just never busted them open

You know where I be. I got beer.

Travis, if you pull that cover on that ECM, it is done. They are not removable. It is all potted inside and you will destroy it. Trust me. I took apart a fried one just to see what was inside.
