iv been fixing a few other tranny problems and this one has got me so far it just aint like all the other shifts. does band servo have anything to do with it say if it leaked. it has the 5.1 lever and some spring that my old tranny guy put in its longer or stronger to keep it from collapsing under the pressure i really didnt ask but he said that was the problem any ideas on this it has a suncoast proloc vb

Yes if the servo leaked you would get a soft 2nd gear shift. Also if the band was too loose it could cause your problem. You could buy a Suncoast Super Servo and put it in while the tranny is still in your truck. You would just need to drop the valvebody.

i did that got a sonnex billet servo. i air checked it awhile back and never seen one leak this bad basicly anywhere it could leak it did. just waiting on a new converter and i will see if this fixed it
