soft throttle

This morning on the way to work my throttle pedal got real soft all of a sudden. I was able to make it to work and look at it. The spring on the pump looks to be fine, but the lower cable was off. I put the cable back on, but the pedal is still soft and the engine isn't wanting to slow down if you jab the pedal real quick. Is there a spring somewhere else? Under the dash?

No, it sounds like you may need a new apps from the dealer. It will come with the brackets, spring and levers. I is rather salty though.

If this its on the95 you might have it in the wrong section... Ppump guys reside in the 94-98 tech section

2.00$ universal throttle spring from napa fixed the problem

The stock spring come with a plastic coating that keeps from wearing thru the nailheads

If its the big spring on the bottom the 2$ napa spring won't last long. In the end its easier to just get the 10$ one from cummins.
