some wise advice needed

ok here it goes im cruisenig down {hwy53} in mississippi tnite 50/55 go round a curve {sounded like my truck sliped} i was hmm . ok maybe downshifting i dunno
get on i10 in gulfport cruiseing 73/74 mph everything normal i come up behind a 18wheeler i bump cruise off truck downshifted i was like wth ,so i mashed accelerator an it shifted back out {sounded like an looked like it was kicking out of {od} wellthen it just went crazy a big slip it redlined with me i was oh no my tranny is going out , well i pull in convience store put trk in nuetral ck my fluid looks good smells good . i switched it off flashed my codes out an got a p0500/p1693 /
i fired her up got on interstate shifting 1,2,3, 4 normal
cruise at 72/ pulling the hill ont the bridge out of mobile trk downshifted normal on cruise all seems fine now , anybody else know of this or can help please do thanks

Code P0500= No vehicle speed sensor

Code P1693= DTC Detected in ECM or PCM

oh cool but in lamins terms the speed sensor going out u think? the dtc im lost there .
