I am trying to figure out if the issue I am dealing with is normal or not.

The clutch is a new sintered iron 4200 that was put in 2 months ago, and has 4 hooks on it, and maybe 35 street miles.

last weekend my first attempt failed, I had the truck in 6th it started to load up the truck I thought I was good and stepped left, truck it didnt like that gear obviously and even stalled the truck. So I fired it up, backed up and it ran fine in my normal 4th gear but at the end the pedal was super soft, no pressure and it was dragging really bad. Had to turn the truck off to get it in gear to get off the track. I chalked it up to be a fairly new clutch and i had got it real hot in the attempted 6th gear launch.

Well today I drove it to the decal shop a few miles away to get some lettering done, and coming back I romped on it once on the highway in 4th gear, and when i went to go to 5th, the pedal had no pressure again until the rpms came back down to around 2k. I wasn't trying to speed shift or anything, i just dont know if its normal or if there is an issue and these are related.

of course its late on a Friday and peter is prolly down at TS so I can't get ahold of him. If anyone sees him tonight at the pull tonight ask him to chime in here if he gets a chance tomorrow.

Nevermind, talked to peter and seems everything is normal, just too many rpms while trying to shift.

My pedal goes soft like that at the end of a pull or hard run on
the street that takes the rpms up high... Always wondered why?
