Speedometer quit and then...

Just wondering if ABS and speedometer are connected to a shared sensor? ABS / Brake lights came on and then the speedometer quit. Cruise is out as well, probably because there is no speed showing?

Installed an external voltage regulator last week. Will replacing the sensor on the rear differential fix the speedometer?

RABS sensor is also the speedo output. Common failure. Also beware of broken wires from the sensor to front of the truck. I had a broken wire on my dually by the front leaf spring perch, hit a bump and the speedo would start or quit working.

Thta is when mine went out. I hit a bump and the lights came on then the next bump or two took out the speedo. I didn't know if the problems were related.
