Looking for opinions on running 3.2 "twins" vs a big single on a superstreet truck.

Please discuss.

The twins will be harder on drivetrain as you will not fall under the charger at the end of the track.

I dont know my single was pretty hard on driveline. With the right single you wont get under the charger. Mine has never snuffed at the end of the track

explain this to me I dont understand? I thought tourque killed drivetrain not hp... lower rpm will be more tourqu, I would much rather spinout at the end then snuff and put more tourque on stuff.

The really big singles give up the ghost before the motor falls back into the peak torque, where the twins will grunt right down.

It will be an open driveline truck, so I'm not too concerned with driveline torque tests - not saying that it will not happen, but I'm not going to be putting the power to a Dana 80 with a 5 or 6 spd.

Most of the SS trucks I have seen/heard about are running big singles. Wondering if it is just due to trying to fit in more pulls during the year that do not allow twins or what the reason might be. It would cost more to run the twins, but I doubt that makes much difference when you are already building an OD truck.

But your 87mm charger doesn't have a 10-blade turbine, some don't think it matters.
