I've searched and read a few but they were all 2 years or older so I am kind of curious and wanting to update what are you running with the redline boxes if anything at all and when stacking boxes with the redline which one is first I don't see how it matters but i've read it does. What were your settings and power levels? Thanks for any input I just got a redline and am curious if it is worth stacking with anything.

I want to stack a TST MVP with one. You can adjust them without having to flash each time you want to change the setting. If your running larger injectors running the TST alone on the street sounds promising to me.

My personal preference is using the Smarty. It gives you a lot of fueling and timing options before the redline takes over. The Smarty makes the redline more driveable on the street, and easier to build boost and launch at the strip.

As far as making the most hp, the old power puck that plugged directly into the VP44 made the most hp.

I have not tried the MVP. I've heard it was a nice box. I've tried most of the rest though...

It's for my puller so it will never see the street. I have hrvp for now possibly getting a dragon fire before pull season. I have 7x.014 injectors with lift. It's a pretty stout setup as is. I do have a smarty but not sure what to set it at as far as levels timing torque injector duration stuff like that. Anyone know where to start?

What do you mean "Takes over"?

To my knowledge above 3300 rpm the Redline intercepts the signals going to the ECM and takes full control over the engine and the pump. Below 3300 rpm it acts like any other fuel box. I don't have yet but have been researching them. It's on my list of things to get after the engine goes back in my truck.

Different versions (updates) behave differently, but the one on my truck doesn't do much below 2000rpm (building boost at the line). Right at 2000 rpm you can feel it adding duty cycle. From that point on, what the ECM wants for fueling doesn't matter.

I talked to Chip quiet a few times, and it amazes me what he was/is able to do with the redline. The redline does not use CAN bus info, so it isn't getting any info from the ECM. The map sensor input isn't really used either, other then to display the value on the screen, same with EGT. You do have to override the test sequence when you start it, if you don't have the map sensor plugged in. It picks up RPM from the VP44 (from the wire tap), and throttle position. Those are the two inputs it uses for fueling.

So it has no boost reference for the fuel map? It is done strictly off of RPM?

RPM and throttle position. Remember this is a competition only box. The map sensor only reads to about 52psi anyway.

Thanks for the info Paul.

We are waiting on a new harness from chip and we will see how well it works.
Anyway to tell if this box has been updated? would I just have to call Chip and ask him?

Just call Chip with the version number. He can tell you.

the old power puck/redline stack is the way to go. but im running a smarty/redline stack currently.
