have a edge-comp for like 8months never blow smoke even on 3-5or 5-5 then the last 2or3 weeks started smoking pretty good [map sensor took a crap] replaced it and now no smoke again , whats up with that??? its on a 99 fass95, air-aide 4"MBRP,COMP-BOX

Unplug the MAP. that's what i did when i had the Comp.
Gives you a little more off the line grunt too.

Truck has very little power when its unpluged, and the hole in the new sensor is like half the size of the old one

is your turbo stock, are you running the stock fuel system

Is your VP tapped? You should make more power unplugged. Just unplug the mag at the block. Leave the Comp harness connected to the Map harness.

unplugging the map sensor fools the truck into thinking its at 19psi thats wot and while barely tapping th go peddle. i dynod 360 before the jammer 4s were in and again with the injectors abd map sensor unpluged and dynoed 389. with the map installed its 443

yall are talkin about unpluging the connector that the comp splices into at the back of the block right? Just unplug it but leave the comp plugged in?

Yes stock turbo,fass95,wire-tap so are you guys leaving the map sensor unplugged from the sensor or are you plugging just the comp wire in to the sensor

unplugging the map sensor will make your truck smoke and have less power. keeping it plugged in your truck will run better.

BUT whats the difference between plugging the comp right into the sensor and useing it the way edges instructions tells u to

just for ****s and gigs earlier i unpluged my map sensor. all it did was throw the dummy light on and the truck wouldn't smoke and barely moved...

:bang
YOU MUST HAVE A BOOST FOOLER TO DO THAT!
Like the Comp or EZ, they do boost fooling. Without a boost fooler you will throw a code.
I ran my Comp with the map unplugged until i stacked the Smarty. Loved the way it ran.
