Starting Issue?

I recently put a fass system on my truck and now when I go to start it, it will crank over for a for about 7-10 seconds before it decides to start. Once it starts you can shut the truck off and try to start it again and it fires right up and i've also noticed that if I turn the key on and let the fass pump run about 2 or 3 times before I actually try to start it it will fire up a lot easier. It seem's as if it's draining back off into the tank, im just wondering what may cause this issue.
