Ran the truck out of fuel, and now it won't start. Fuel is coming out of the lines good, but won't fire. I'm guessing that I'm screwed and have to buy another pump?

I'm guessing you are right. But I've Haven't heard of them going down without having codes.

Try a little WD40 in the Air cleaner or right in the turbo. I hate ether.

Crack the pump return checkvalve fitting and be sure there is no air trapped in the pump.

Try to find someone with a cummins 3163834 vp44 tester to rule out the electrical side. Check the low pressure fuel system. Alot of people just check for pressure, I also check the volume If it has a stock lift pump. Needs minimum 45 oz per starter bump cycle.

I don't understand why there are no codes. I have seen the PO216 code set from just running out of fuel.

I have that tester, it ran out of fuel that I am sure of. It has an airdog with 20pounds at idle.
